The murdered bodies of teenage girls are turning up dumped around New York with alarming frequency. For NYPD Detective Frank Parrish it is a race to find the evil person or persons responsible. Frank knows there is a common link between the murders, he just has to find it before the next innocent young girl is brutalised.
But Frank has his own demons to battle. He is under investigation for subordination. He must attend a counsellor appointed to him by the Police Department. With his marriage long over after a bitter separation from his ex- wife, he worries constantly about his daughter. Then there is his Father’s reputation as one of the 'Saints of New York'.
I can't praise this book enough, and for any thriller fans out there, this is a 'must read'.
Completely gripping, R J Ellory has a gift for the page-turner, and I had to restrain myself from sneaking a peak at the last page. Frank Parrish has so many problems but you just keep willing him on.
R J Ellory has gone straight to the top of my favourite authors list.
