They say that a picture paints a thousand words; that is definitely true in this book, the pictures are thought provoking and at times both heartrending and heartwarming. The accompanying text my be sparse but it is very illuminating; in this country we often bemoan how hard our lives are and how we have nothing but these people really do have nothing. A million schillings is two weeks wages, if they are lucky enough in their war torn country to be in work.
I found this book to be captivating and eye opening, it made me realise how lucky we are that if we want to go somewhere we don't have to worry that the people who are in charge of our transport are going to kill us for what little we have that they haven't already taken off of us.
Well worth getting especially for the photography.
